LLM in IT & Telecommunications Law ?

Post by Loeju » Wed Apr 03, 2013 5:12 pm

Hi,

I'm a French student.
I have a French Master's degree in Business Law and I want to specialize in IT & Telecommunications Law.

In France (and probably in Europe), the most popular Master's degree in this field is the Master's degree in Space Activities and Telecommunications Law offered by the University of Paris-Sud with the Institute of Space and Telecommunications Law (wiki page).

But I'm thinking if it would be better for me to do instead a LLM in a prestigious university in the US (the goal is to have an international profile).

I found 2 LLM in this field (there are probably others) :

- LLM in Law, Science & Technology (Stanford Law School)
- LLM at Harvard Law School (with a specialization in my field)

Do you know other LLM in a prestigious university ?

But with a LLM, can a non-US citizen find easily a job in IT Law ? (If it is almost impossible, I think it would be better than I got a Master's degree in Europe)

Thanks

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I thought you needed a law degree from your home country to be eligible to get an LLM.

I have already a Master's degree in Business Law (the system is different in Europe).
So, I am eligible for doing LLM in US.
