UCLA $ vs WUSTL $$
Which would you choose? I would like biglaw, but not 100% set on it. Would most like to work in LA or Chicago.

Neither—they're both too damn expensive. Retake to get into UChi/NU or to get UCLA below 100k (including COL).

Neither school are likely to get you big law and they are far too expensive. Retake.

Both of these are horrible options.

The employment prospects at these schools do not match your goals or what they're charging you.

this is harsh -- UCLA Law is hardly a "horrible" option, its a great school, and OP probably got $15K/yr to boot if his CoL is $52K.cahwc12 wrote:Both of these are horrible options.

However, neither of these will allow you to practice big law in Chicago. @ UCLA you will have some chance (30-40%) at LA biglaw. It's a gamble. If the only reason you are going to law school is to work for a major firm, then I agree with the "retake" suggestions. If you are okay working at a lower exit price point for a mid-size firm in los angeles, go for it.
In no scenario do I see WUSTL being the right choice here.

It's a horrible option at this price. Big law is unlikely and that's a ton of money to service with any other job.jbagelboy wrote:this is harsh -- UCLA Law is hardly a "horrible" option, its a great school, and OP probably got $15K/yr to boot if his CoL is $52K.cahwc12 wrote:Both of these are horrible options.
