Neither is that great for NY but I'd tip the scales towards St.Johns. Wake Forest is a regional school so It would be pretty difficult to get back to NY.

Thank you! I had a feeling that Wake Forest was regional, but I honestly don't know much at the school. I just wasn't sure with the Wake Forest being ranked higher than St. John's if that would play any role with job prospects.

I think you might want to do some more research into
St. John's. wake forest is not helping you get a job in New York. Hiring in law is surprisingly regional.

Where else did you apply?

I am from New York and I never heard of Wake Forest. St John's is a trash school at best, no employer will take you seriously if you go there. Even Fordham, George Washington, and Georgetown graduates are in trouble now.

I do know people in my class at Wake that have summer positions in NY, but they are few and had strong preexisting ties in the state. Also, some of the kids at the top got NY Biglaw callbacks but I am talking top 4 or 5 people. Without any serious connections or top, top grades, NY from WF isnt going to happen.

I wouldn't go to Wake Forest if NYC is your goal, and I wouldn't go to SJU without a full ride, and even then I'd probably retake if I thought there was any chance of an LSAT score increase. If you're looking at debt from SJU, run the other way.
