UVA$$$ v NYU - California BigLaw
I have ties to southern California, and honestly would be fine with attending either schools.
I currently have $105k at UVA and nothing at all from NYU.
However, I am pretty set on coming back to CA (with an emphasis on biglaw) and would be willing to spend then extra money on NYU if it is worth it.
Thoughts?

Sorry, one more question:
If I screw up at UVA and don't get the grades to come back, where do most people end up?
NY? Or would I effectively be stuck in the south?

if CA sucks so much, where should he/she end up? Weather and lifestyle are worth the $$$. If he has the money, why not spend it somewhere he'll enjoy.Dr. Dre wrote:Take the $$$ at UVA. Profit.

Being able to find a job after law school; a place that has overall good job market and where I can do business; not pay taxes up the ass; not have a shit ton of bureaucracy in state go'vt; not have high unemployment rate; not having Jerry Brown as governor

Fair enough. I'd rather make less money and chill in the sun.

CA is where it's at. He'll clearly only move back to CA if he has a job lined (and if he's making $$$ why not spend it). Quality of life? What else do you need? Food, shelter, great weather, and California Gurls. If you need more reason to attend, Katy Perry's "California Gurls" lists a few more.mh013 wrote:Fair enough. ANd yes, I'm pretty sure the sun does help with the Vitamin D issue described above

California has good weather, mexican food, and bud. That's all I can come up with. While these shouldn't be taken for granted, nothing changes the fact this state is a POS. Jerry Brown is the icing on the cake.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
