UMass Law School
I received an email from them yesterday and figured I would check TLS to see what people knew about this school... I had never heard of it but seems like its accredited by the ABA. Any thoughts???

Absolutely do not go. UMass Law is a rebranding of Southern New England Law, which was one of the worst law schools in the country.

Thanks for the info. I actually expected something along those lines since it is practically unheard of but figured I'd ask since it might just be unknown since it is new. Thanks again!

It's provisionally accredited and it's graduates can sit for the bar. But so can graduates of the unaccredited and proud of it Mass School of Law and their tuition is much cheaper. If someone is holding your family in a basement unless you enroll in a law school I'd choose the latter. Otherwise don't go to either.

I wouldn't go to UMass Law now. However, I don't hate the idea of the place existing. At the very least, a public law school will put pressure on Suffolk, NESL and to an extent, NE'ern - schools that offer poor employment prospects with absurdly high price tags.
