BC vs. BU

Post by lschhope111 » Thu Jan 17, 2013 12:55 pm

Is there any particular reason to choose one over the other? I know that one is in the city and the other is more in a suburb but is there anything else that sets them apart?
Thanks.

These schools are probably compared more often than any others. Try the search function, and I promise you will find a treasure trove of info.

Quick answer is that there'sno practical difference between them. These are truly peer schools

I wouldn't really say BU is in the city either. Suffolk is in the city. BU is just in a super ugly location (think strip malls) that happens to be a little closer to the city than BC.

Visit both and pick where you feel more comfortable.

BC: cheaper and better housing + the only good sushi buffet in Boston.
BU: hot girls + slightly closer to Allston.

Also for whatever reason native Bostonians often think BC > BU. Gotta be the sushi buffet.

BC girls are definitely hotter than BU. Not close.

Which is ironic since they refuse to provide it to students through health services

Does BC/BU place well in Boston? NYC?

Does placing less than a third of the class in biglaw count as well?

Compared to other schools outside of the T14, BC and BU rate very well in biglaw placement. They place primarily in Boston, NYC and DC. However, as to be expected, the T14 place better. BC places slightly better although the difference is fairly minimal.

This should make things interesting:

Employment data:

http://www.lstscorereports.com/?school=bc

http://www.lstscorereports.com/?school=bu

conclusion: BC > BU
