San Diego Law- questions
Are the students competitive or generally more laid-back compared to other schools?
USD's website says, "USD School of Law Grants- The law school considers entering students for a number of need-based partial tuition scholarships." (which is separate from academic scholarships). Does anyone who demonstrates need get these grants?
Is it hard to get around without a car?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

i don't go to USD but i lived across the street from campus when i was going to UCSD. having a car would not be optional.

youre definitely going to want a car. it takes like an hour by bus to go what would take you 10 minutes in a car in san diego.

I have a friend who goes to USD, lives in OB and commutes by bike. Good way to wake yourself up.

Trust me, you will need a car. San Diego is not a non-car friendly city, you need to drive everywhere or have very good public transportation skills with everything mapped out so you can get everywhere on time. Do yourself a favor and if you're moving down to SD do a road trip so you have your car with you. USD is a very good regional school and is well respected in the area.

if you want a nightlife near where you're living then you're looking at Pacfic Beach or Ocean Beach, there isn't any nightlife close to the school.
