Re: Temple
Move to Philly, establish residency and work. You'll save a lot of money and have a better chance of getting a job afterwards (you'll have some sort of ties).

I think OP is just waiting for us to talk about why s/he shouldn't go to Temple.nebula666 wrote:was there a question in there?
OP, at Temple you'll have a 50/50 shot at a job as an attorney. If you get the job, you'll be making a mean of $72k. If you don't, you'll fall back on your undergrad with a JD black mark on your resume and $60k+ of debt.cooldude87 wrote:Cost is not really an issue, scholly/parents would pay 2/3 loans the other 1/3. Re: Temple
Temple isn't a bad idea if you can keep costs down and are committed to PA. For those working in firms with 11-25 attorneys, the averages over $76k, which is more than in many markets.
If you can be comfortably in the top half of your class and won't be disappointed if you don't get biglaw, Temple is a decent option.

Re: Temple
Temple is a solid option assuming you're cool with staying in Philly. Your best bet is to move to Philly and intern/work somewhere (preferably legal) as an assistant for a year to establish residency and make legal connections. With In state tuition and 2/3rds covered you'd be sitting with roughly ~38K in debt at graduation and thats a pretty solid situation.

Re: Temple
You say you want a job...... what are your stats, and, if you are looking at Temple, have to say retake..... even if you are in state, Philly resident..... Temple is risky.

Need more info, preferably in the form of a reasonably well-constructed sentence or two instead of a barely readable string f words.
LSAT score? GPA? How many times have you taken? Where are you from? Other options?

Re: Temple
So is Temple not a good idea for someone from out of state with no familial/professional ties to Philly? I'm a VA resident seriously considering attending Temple, and would be more than happy to stay in Philly for my career.

Re: Temple
Philly's kooky about flight risks. Lacking Philly ties, I wouldn't attend anywhere but Penn in the area.tony2167 wrote:So is Temple not a good idea for someone from out of state with no familial/professional ties to Philly?
