Schools Looking for Students from 50 States?
Spoke with my pre-law advisor today and he claimed some schools seek students from all 50 states. Does anybody have a good list of these schools? I'm from a state with a very small population (ND) and believe this information could be of benefit.

I don't think you need to take that comment literally. I doubt any school is looking for an applicant from every state as though he collecting trading cards and wants the whole set. What is most likely means is that admissions departments want a diverse group of students from different areas and with different experiences that lead to a different points of view. Schools want all kinds of diversity in their student body, not just racial diversity. Being from North Dakota would probably be more rare at a school in a state like Florida than it would be in Minnesota for example, but you will score more points if you can show why that makes you unique.

If only it means you'll get fucked over OCI due to a lack of ties.RickyRoe wrote:I don't think you need to take that comment literally. Like what? Someone from Delaware or Rhode Island who goes to a school outside the region and then seeks to come back home? Or are you referring to that kind of person looking to establish ties elsewhere?rebexness wrote:What if you are from a state with no law school? That will depend on the market. Going to school in the region may help, but it may not necessarily be enough to overcome concerns of your being a flight risk.rebexness wrote:HeavenWood wrote: Like what? Looking to establish ties elsewhere because the state and its legal market sucks.
