Re: Bad advice?
I'd go to a T1 on a substantial scholly before a T3/T4 on a full ride.

Re: Bad advice?
what are the stipulations of the scholarship? what do you neeed to keep it? what are your career goals? Which school potentially is best suited to help you achieve those goals? those are the questions u need to think about. Im very debt averse, but I wouldnt go to a TTT on a full ride over a TT /T with a smaller scholarship.
If you got a 169- there are better schools out there than Barry that would offer you some money to go. Don't limit your options unless you have things lined up and know exactly what you want and where you want to practice and wont want to practice anywhere else but that area.

Don't be naive. 1) A full ride at UM, though more competitive than people realize, does not require a 170. 2) There are plenty of options between UM on full ride and Barry on full ride, the most notable of which is UF with substantial scholarship (UF does not give full rides). In sum, your friend is likely bumping his lfrat a couple points.

I agree with you and your topic is so good. I doubt your friend got a 169.
