I am skeptical of this claim.

Seriously? Everyone here has told you the truth. About 2 out of 3 American grads WILL NEVER PRACTICE LAW. THE ONES THAT DO GET JOBS WILL LIKELY NEVER BE ABLE TO PAY THEIR DEBT BACK. IT IS A SCAM.

If you attend any of these schools this year after what the posters ITT have told you, then you deserve to drown in debt and live in financial ruin.
shiiiiit nova laying down the harsh truth!! Love it

Trust me. No one here has ever heard of Mid-Western schools. Here they know Stanford and Berkeley, Harvard, Yale, most probably know Columbia and NYU, Cornell, and Lewis and Clark. People know that L&C isn't as high as those, but honestly most people here don't know better and think it is a top 20 national law program. When I tell people I don't really want to go there, they are always shocked and think I am snobby.

I can see how laypeople would think that. But I would assume legal employers (i.e., the people whose opinions you should care about) are more well informed w/r/t current rankings.
