Law School Transparency.com: Legit?
I found my way to this site through LSAC and am about to make some major decisions based off of it. Is it legit? I have learned to be cautious of numbers but these seem extremely in-depth and informed.

Really shows some interesting things outside of rankings and broad numbers.

LST is a great resource, but even LST doesn't tell the whole picture. I strongly advise you to check out the other employment data collected and analyzed on TLS. Synthesize all the resources together and you can get a pretty decent picture of the legal job market.

This is because we don't make unwarranted leaps. Keep that in mind.Samara wrote:LST is a great resource, but even LST doesn't tell the whole picture. OP, where on LSAC was LST linked?

Mos def. Sorry, I didn't mean that as a criticism of you guys. It's good that you only work with hard data, but there are educated guesses that can be made and potentially misleading results that can be interpreted. LST can never tell the whole picture, unless schools become far more transparent than they currently are.jenesaislaw wrote:This is because we don't make unwarranted leaps. LST is a good place for data, TLS is a good place for interpretation and speculation. Both are useful and should been seen as complementary, rather than competing sources of information.

Yep, no worries. Just being cautious since this is a thread asking whether LST is legit.

There are legitimate concerns with School-Funded jobs artificially inflating the Employment Rating of certain schools (namely Virginia and NYU), but other than that, I don't think there's a better source than LST out there.
