Re: Looking for Vandy people
I really like Nashville. It's got a cool vibe and I love the bars here. There's lots of good music (not just country) and the climate is great most of the year. East Nashville has got some cool stuff going on. There are lots of food trucks. Apartments near campus are kind of expensive and the driver's are pretty horrible, but other than that I don't have many complaints.MillerTheThriller wrote:How is living in Nashville?

I think fatduck is right about splitters.

Nashville is awesome-it has the advantages of a big city without a lot of the disadvantages.MillerTheThriller wrote:How is living in Nashville?

I concur with fatduck, but with a caveat. I was a mild splitter (LSAT around the 25%ile and GPA around the 75%ile) and I got in with some $$.

Re: Looking for Vandy people
to follow up on the splitter question:
When did y'all apply?
Did you apply with targeted LOR or a uber-school specific PS?
Did you visit during you application process/interview with an adcom?
Vandy is one of reaches and dream schools so I apologize in advance if I come off a bit neurotic.

I applied early (mid-September).
I did not have a targeted LOR or specific PS for Vandy.
Admissions came to my school for a weekend (my UG send a lot of people to Vandy) to interview interested students, so I interviewed then.
