Re: Creighton vs. Penn State
I am working in a public interest position this summer through Penn State. If you're interested in hearing more about PSU or about my public interest experience here, PM me and I'd be happy to answer any of your questions.

Have you tried negotiating with PSU using the Creighton scholly?
PSU with 150k is not good. How much debt at Creighton?

Re: Creighton vs. Penn State
What's your total cost of attendance at Creighton?
According to law school transparency numbers you're looking at 130Kish of debt still, if you're financing living expenses. Too high for your goals bro.

Ask for more money; if none is forthcoming, consider sitting out this year & reapplying next cycle.

Interest man, how does it work?xChiTowNx wrote:Cost of Attendance according to an email fro Creighton said I would need per year was $30k, meaning $90-95k at Creighton...
I mean Creighton isn't as TTTastic as some of the other schools in it's range and it has semi-decent placement if you want to stay in the immediate region but 100k+is too much.

I mean, relatively, but PSU's placement is abjectly shitty. Whatever "lay prestige" the school had has been mired with the kidfucking scandal.xChiTowNx wrote:funny - that's the same line that I got from the adcom when I was negotiating scholly's at PSU. Two totally different schools, one places in the Northeast, the other in the Plains regions. Adcom stressed the name recognition of PSU, but from what I've read, it's mostly from alumni network and lay prestige.
Good news on Canadian loans, but why are you relocating to the US to attend schools like these? Not worth it my bro

Re: Creighton vs. Penn State
What was your LSAT score? USNWR said PSU's 75th last year was a 161, which definitely leaves room for improvement. You seem to already know the answer, sit this cycle out and retake in October.xChiTowNx wrote: I already did at PSU - negotiated from $5k to get that $10k. Was a splitter (poor GPA/ at 75th LSAT for PSU) so getting that amount was charitable of them i guess.
