Vandy if you want to settle and work in the south, Cornell if you want NE/MidAtlantic. Nice options, good luck.

It's not that Vandy doesn't place elsewhere, it's that it's strength is placement in the South, particularly Nashville/Atlanta and any other secondary market where students have ties. Cornell has great east coast placement, particularly NYC. They just have different strengths.

It's also going to be tough to break into southern markets if you're not originally from there (Atlanta excepted)

Cornell. You need to be near your parents & your connections. Additionally, it appears that your target market is primarily in the state of New York.
