Georgetown (sticker) v. George Mason (in-state sticker)
I recently learned that I've been accepted to transfer to GULC next year. I will have about 1 week to submit a deposit once I receive the official notice (expected this Friday). That's all the time I have to decide where I'd be better off. I'm currently attending George Mason, (T40) @ $20k/y part-time w/ in-state tuition and no scholarship. I'm in the top 12% of my class and expect to stay there or improve. Georgetown would be ~$40k/y (also part-time). Living expenses aren't an issue and I wouldn't have to move anywhere. I'm already living and working within reasonable driving distance of Georgetown. So it all falls on one question: is Georgetown worth the extra debt given my situation? Both schools have good programs for my intended focus. I'm happy (not miserable) with my current school, but I worry about my placement options.
Help me tls! What should I do?

What's your job now like? Will that be able to support your debt?

Is there a significant difference in job prospects from top 15% at GMU and Georgetown in general to justify the cost difference?

That's probably how I should have asked.tfleming09 wrote:Is there a significant difference in job prospects from top 15% at GMU and Georgetown in general to justify the cost difference?

Currently a Paralegal. I could probably afford monthly interest payments.

7-0? I didn't realize it was such a no-brainer.
Thanks all. Guess I'll go for it.
