W&M or cardozo and $ [w&m nlj 250 2011]

w&m did not make the top 50 for 2011, after placing pretty well for 2010 (28th). Does anyone know why they dropped so far?

Cardozo offered me $30k per year, w&m offered me no $$. I consider myself very fortunate to be considering w&m, but im not sure if they offer better corporate law prospects. I would like to work in DC or NYC, and have no preference

Because they have to compete with numerous similarly-ranked schools (GW, W&L, George Mason, etc.), along with a bunch of DC-focused T14's (UVA, Duke, GULC) for scarce jobs in the most competitive legal market in the country?

yea but that's the same as it was in 2010 when they placed much better. Perhaps they are more volatile during a weak economy because of the depth as you mentioned, and the distance to big cities? It's a concern of mine because i am weighing Cardozo and a sholly against W&M
