Fordham v Brooklyn
Just got my e-mail from Fordham today. Any chance I can get any $ whatsoever, GPA at the median and LSAT at the 75%ile.
With or without money the alternative is Brooklyn Law (39k/yr).
From NY area, looking to do business/corporate law.
Side Note Apps: Currently waiting on Vanderbilt and Cornell.

Don't go to Brooklyn. Don't go to Fordham at sticker. If it's this late in the game, that's the most likely scenario.
Cornell places well into NYC biglaw. Vandy doesn't make sense for you.
Keep your fingers crossed for Cornell, otherwise consider re-applying (and retaking if applicable)

If you want to do biglaw, definitely Fordham and not Brooklyn.
But, last year only 20% got biglaw out of Fordham. That's s big risk
(note: median at Fordham is not the death-knell it's made out to be, so its not all doom and gloom)

Re: Fordham v Brooklyn
Is Fordham's placement advantage over Brooklyn -- today, not five years ago -- worth $117,000? Especially if you're borrowing the money? That's the issue. I have my doubts, but look at the new info in the "detailed ABA placement stats" thread, and you be the judge.

Latest update 15k a year from Fordham. Any chance at negotiating any more?
Also COL for both is low home to school is completely doable.

Whoa ... you're adding new facts. So how much debt would you need to take on at each school?

Might be tough based on your stats, but it never hurts to askAD10390 wrote:Latest update 15k a year from Fordham. Any chance at negotiating any more?

Paying no tuition vs a ton makes none a clear winner.
Hope for Cornell...

Making things more or less difficult?
Brooklyn has moved its offer to 48k/yr which is basically a full ride. Stip is finish in the top 80% of the class.
