Boston University ($45 scholly) vs Hastings ($75k scholly)

Post by Decimal » Wed Apr 11, 2012 6:54 pm

Scholarship amounts are for three year totals.

I was just about ready to send in a seat deposit to BU this week after being offered $15k/year but UCH gave me $25k/year out of nowhere today.

I am a California native and plan on eventually returning there to practice though I am feeling uncertain about Hastings' job placement with all the higher ranked California law schools around. I would not mind staying in Boston for a while but I would rather not limit myself to the Boston area in the long run as I have family in California.

Maybe BU and UCH are not that comparable because of the gap in their rankings but they are the two best options available to me right now. Advice please? Thanks!

Hastings. You want to be in CA, go to Hastings.

Yeah. I think Hastings. The difference in rankings doesn't make up for regionality.
