NYU (62.5) vs Duke (72) vs Northwestern (75)
I'm purposely not putting my preferences, wants, desires, I just wanna see how people vote. The problem is that I love all three.

All things being equal, everyone is going to pick NYU....for this to be at all useful you need to give out something for us to work with

I will eventually end up in CA. I want a clerkship coming out. I want accessible and helpful professors. I'd like to live comfortably, but am leaning toward NYU despite the fact I'll be living in a dorm room. Can anyone speak to the actual edge that Northwestern's business school vibe gives to its students?

Its funny that none of what you said helps to differentiate between these three schools.kaveman wrote:I will eventually end up in CA. I want a clerkship coming out. Haha I figured. I think I just wanted to stop talking my friends'/family's ears off about this for a second. Thanks TLS.t14fanboy wrote:Its funny that none of what you said helps to differentiate between these three schools.kaveman wrote:I will eventually end up in CA. I want a clerkship coming out. Well do you preferably want to practice in the south? Of course not implying duke is limited there, but I would imagine it certainly has a leg up

Think about where you want to end up. All 3 can get you NYC biglaw but if NYC is your first choice then NYU is the clear winner. If you want Chicago or southern markets go with NU or Duke, respectively.

NYU is the only credited response here, all things being equal.

Assuming that you dislike NYC, hate The South & love Chicago, then NU.
