I guess if you are wholly devoted to CA then USC is the better choice. Trojan network and whatnot.

Georgetown has better overall biglaw placement, but USC will obviously place you better in SoCal.
USC.

i'd say its a toss up and you should decide more based on fit, graded/non-graded legal writing, which city you like better etc.

Is USC portable anywhere besides So Cal?t14fanboy wrote:I guess if you are wholly devoted to CA then USC is the better choice. Trojan network and whatnot.

As far as I can tell legal writing at both schools is graded on the same curve as the rest of the 1L classes...is there a significant benefit to having it be ungraded?

Also, with only a small percentage of GULC students trying for the West Coast, is its class size less of a liability for CA employment?

If your 100% certain you want California, USC. If you have doubts about where you want to practice, GULC.

USC should be better for SoCal biglaw, but won't help for East Coast placement.

Neither option is very good at sticker, unless you have family members footing part or all of the bill.
That being said, USC if you're crazy enough to take it at sticker.
