Please help me decide on my law school Forum

My #1 pick was Northwestern, but after being notified that I won't be received any scholarships, I'm a little bit less enthusiastic about attending. Outside of Northwestern, I'm not really attached to attending any one school. Here are my following options of law schools that I'm considering:

U Chicago: 15k/yr
U Illinois: 34k/yr
U Utah: 39k/yr
UVA: No scholarship
George Washington: 10k/yr
Washington & Lee: 20k first year - remaining years depend on performance

Out of those choices, based purely on location/ranking/potential job prospects, I'm most attached to U Chicago and GWU. Any thoughts?

Unless you want to practice in Utah, or are excessively debt adverse, your only real choice is Chicago.

All the law students I knew at Chicago who wanted to go to Utah did.

Although I suppose maybe the skiing might make a difference, but the average starting salary out of Chicago, even after paying the debt, will pay for a lot of skiing by the time you can take the time to do much after law school anyway.

Chicago blows all those other choices out of the water. Since you were so set on Northwestern, did you try telling them about Chicago's offer and negotiating for matching $?

You got 15k a year from Uchic and nothing from UVA or NU? And only 10k from GW? Weird.

Chicago has CA lot of $$$ to give out because of Rubenstiens grant.
