SMU vs UGA vs UH
I realize this is a very personal decision, but I wouldn't mind getting some input from fellow TLSers.
I need to decide between the three schools in the title in the next week or so. I want to study IP law, and all of the schools offer good/strong IP programs. After scholarships the tuition will be roughly equal at all schools. Will the recent changes in ranking effect job prospects? Obviously based on rank alone UGA would be the top choice, but I would ideally like to work in Texas in the long run. Decisions, Decisions....

This basically comes down to Houston vs Dallas.

Do you want to work in Dallas or Houston? If you want IP, Dallas might be better because it's near the Eastern District, which does a lot of patent work.
Pick city, then pick a corresponding school.

I've been told Houston is the place to go if you want to do health care law. Otherwise, stick to UT, Baylor, or SMU in Texas. I'm a bit biased for Dallas, but I'll be at the Houston ASD Friday. Worth taking a look at it.

Thanks for all the help. I would prefer Dallas over Houston. Actually I'd even prefer Atlanta over Houston. My main concern with Atlanta is all the competition (Emory, Duke, Vandy).

I know - I'll be visiting UGA this weekend and won't be home until Sunday afternoon. I e-mailed and asked for a few days extension, but was shot down. If I decide on SMU i'll have to pay the deposit online.hookem7 wrote:Keep in mind, SMUs deposit deadline is April 1st
