Re: NYU or Minn?
If your career goals are biglaw then NYU is clearly TCR.
Do you have any options w/ $ from the lower T14? While NYU gives you a great shot at big law position, 250k debt is a lot to swallow.

I'd say NYU here. While the debt is a burden, putting what you have plus SA money towards and sticking with biglaw can cut down this debt while making a decent living. Also the job prospects will be much better.

Yeah, sticker is tough to swallow, but it sounds like you need to just bite the bullet and pay up. NYU is def worth the extra $125k or so.hibiki wrote:I don't have any other T14 options. NYU.hibiki wrote:Well, I could try to negotiate, but I'm not sure that it'll help. I'm below the 25th percentile for GPA and above the 75th percentile for the LSAT at both schools. I think I'd get more money at UMN if I were above that 25.paulinaporizkova wrote:wat? how did you get into NYU and only get that much $$ at the U? should have gotten a full ride and then some
I also have a WL I'm riding out (and I'm held at Columbia) but I think my ultimate decision will be between UMN and NYU at the costs listed.
