Indiana-Bloomington vs William and Mary
Hi all,
Long time reader here, but it's coming down to decision time for me and I'm still a little at a lost between these two schools. With scholarships and cost of living all included Indiana is about 5k a year cheaper than William and Mary. And honestly I'm pretty flexible on where I would live after school. I do have a slight preference for D.C. so I am a little curious just how much of an advantage William and Mary is over Indiana, and I'm also not particularly interested in Big Law. Can anyone comment on the respective job prospects of each of these schools (within their region) and general prestige/degree mobility. I do understand as a general rule neither school has great mobility, but which one is better?
Thanks for the advice.

Where are you from? Total Cost of attendance at each?
If you want to work in DC then don't go to a regional Midwestern school.

This, and W&M likely won't get you to DC either.bdole2 wrote:Where are you from? Total Cost of attendance at each?

Well I'm from Florida, and I don't really want to go back there and total cost of attendance for all three years is 60k at Indiana and 75k at W&Mbdole2 wrote:Where are you from? Total Cost of attendance at each?

You'll likely have the most options in Indianapolis for IU or in Richmond for W&M. Where would you rather live? Also, the schools have much different feels--IU is a huge (but beautiful) big 10 school whereas W&M feels pretty small in my opinion.

Not really hot on either option for a Floridian. What are your stats? I'd be looking at T20ish schools in your region of the country (Emory, Vandy, etc.) Retake if you have to.
IUB has awful placement, but it's cheaper. Sort of a toss up I suppose. Go where you'd rather live.
