Hi all,
I'm looking for input on where to go for law school. The poll options are pretty self explanatory, but for more details:
Chapman - full ride, 3.0 stipulation
Loyola - 23k/year, 3.2 stipulation
USD - 21k/year, top 50% of class stipulation
I would like to practice in the Southern California region, preferrably San Diego. I'm not dead set on pursuing Biglaw, but I'm not 100% against it either.
Yes, I have already negotiated scholarships with USD. It was originally 18k/year.
For the record, I am retaking the LSAT in June. If I do not see a score increase, I would like to start at one of these schools in the fall. If I do see a score increase, I will reapply next cycle to better schools. So please, do not tell me to "RETAKE" because I already have decided to do that.

Re: Chapman vs USD vs Loyola
You should really figure out which area of law you're interested in pursuing. Either Loyola or USD will get you down to SD, but both have different access to job opportunities in terms of travel time which while a small factor, is big. Take away the stipulation and then figure out which of them, if you lost the stipulation, you would like to attend.Anonymous User wrote:Hi all,

San Diegan here.
Go to USD. It's well-respected enough in the region that, if you do well, you'll be okay.
Do not under any circumstances go to Chapman. Even a full-ride isn't worth it.
