Since you said "stay" on the east coast, I assume you're not getting UCLA in-state. Definitely cross off GW, don't go there at sticker.
Looking at employment stats, you'd have better employment prospects in the absolute at UCLA, but you want to stay on the east coast. BU gives you a solid shot at Boston and NY on the east coast. I'd only say GW if you were deadset on DC, and even then, I'd rather gun hard at BU and take my chances for less money.

DC is a super competitive and over-saturated market so I'd still go with BU if $$ was the same. In Boston, you only have to compete with BC, and whichever Harvard kids choose to stay in Boston. In DC, you have a HUGE school (GTown) who puts out a ton of grads that all want to stay in DC. Plus, you want students from many other top schools trying to get into DC (like UVA, Duke, etc.). BU easily.sangr wrote:thanks

BU places 30% of its class in BigLaw. GW places 25%. I don't know if that difference is meaningful, but it should dispel the notion that just bc GW is ranked higher it does better employment wise. I think it would frankly come down to which city, DC or Boston, you'd like to live in, both during school and after. Keep in mind though that GW places significantly better in the Federal Government, if that's something in which you're interested.sangr wrote:thanks

Re: GW(stick) or BU (17k yr) or UCLA sticker?
guys first of all thanks so much for the replies
in terms of which city I'd rather be. DC or northern VA no doubt.
so if employment is 25 percent versus 30.. dang
for GW, my cousin lives near DC in Maryland so I could commute there starting 2nd year.
dangit. personally I'd live in DC. but I also know that like u guys said the competition is harddd

I'd def take BU over GW. Even with same COA.

BU is risky at that price, but that's the best call here. Other than retake, of course.
