W&L, Villanova, Temple, UH
My offers are
W&L (25k scholarship)
Villanova (full-tuition)
Temple (3.5k)
UH (10k)
At the moment I'm leaning toward W&L because of it's significantly higher reputation, but the full-ride at Villanova is tempting. W&L would cost me $14k/ year, but seems like it would offer better job prospects than Villanova. Any thoughts?

Id retake and aim higher but if you must go, I would go to W+L. Cheap and gives you prob a 2x chance at job prospects compared to Villanova.vfaye wrote:My offers are

srfngdd6: I'm originally from Philly, living in Houston now, but where I end up doesn't matter much to me

Ask Houston to match Wash & Lee's offer.

yep, I've sent the email to UH so just waiting to hear back. From what I gather, UH is pretty damn stingy with money thoughCanadianWolf wrote:Ask Houston to match Wash & Lee's offer.

To state the obvious: After you receive Houston's response, compare total COA for each law school before deciding.

Villanova is always going to have the lowest COA, though. Do you vote lowest COA over reputation?CanadianWolf wrote:To state the obvious: After you receive Houston's response, compare total COA for each law school before deciding.

Okay, so you have ties to both areas. That's good. It looked kind of random at first, haha.vfaye wrote:srfngdd6: I'm originally from Philly, living in Houston now, but where I end up doesn't matter much to me

I've heard that UH places well into Houston and that Houston is a decent market, ITE considered. I haven't seen data on UH's placement though, so don't take my word for it. How much would you be taking out in loans for UH? Seems like it would be a lot and make it too risky at the current scholarship amount.
If UH will match W&L, I'd probably pick that. The problem with W&L is that it doesn't place naturally into Philly and the DC market is super competitive. Even the Virginia market is probably pretty competitive and you don't have ties there. If you can't get decent money to UH, the 'Nova full ride is probably the safest bet.

I'm from philly as well...Nova full ride was tempting for me as was Temple's offer...i got significantly more money then you did to W&L and that is likely where I'm attendingvfaye wrote:srfngdd6: I'm originally from Philly, living in Houston now, but where I end up doesn't matter much to me

Yea, more from W&L would make the decision easier. Congrats. I'm jealous.srfngdd6 wrote:
