Vandy's asw was super impressive. Out of all the schools I applied to last year I'd say they were the classiest act by a long shot. My main thing about it was having no southern ties. Going to a "southern" (or national, but really depends on who you are talking to) and gunning for a tough market (Ca for me, Chi for you) might not be the best idea. NYC was arguably the easiest market to get a job and Cornell traditionally places well there. Having the largest legal market as the local fall back or whatever is probably better than Nashville with no ties.

BUT to be honest I mostly didn't pick Vandy because it was too far from my SO, family and friends. And I don't really have the self control for a town like Nashville. I was out until 6am one of the asw nights. Does Vandy actually have beer every friday in the courtyard thing? All we get at cornell is cookies and coffee on wednesdays...

From what I hear...it is really EVERY Friday
