SMU or UH- Help me choose!

Post by tmj830 » Fri Feb 24, 2012 11:15 pm

Admitted to both schools:
Houston- 10,000 per year scholarship (tuition sticker at 28k)
SMU- 26,000 per year scholarship (tuition sticker at 44k)

This obviously means I'd be paying around 18k a year for tuition plus other expenses at both schools. I know it may largely come down to whether I'd want to work in Dallas or Houston, but if anyone has an opinion in favor of one or the other (whether it be facilities, employment prospects, etc), please let me know.

Thanks

PS I did apply to UT, but was rejected.

It really is just Dallas versus Houston. I think SMU has slightly better employment prospects if you aren't at the top of the class, though.

Also, SMU is in the Park Cities, and UofH is...not. Not being shot on the way to class could be construed as a benefit.
