University of La Verne vs Whittier
I recently found out La Verne has lost accreditation, what happens to those who are currently attending then? is it worth attending at all? I know whittier places strong in OC while La verne does well in inland empire, if cost is approximately the same, which one is better?

If they're both free you should attend neither.Jah'rakal wrote:I recently found out La Verne has lost accreditation, what happens to those who are currently attending then? is it worth attending at all? Yep. Large opportunity cost at likely no payoff, unless you already have a job lined up (family connections etc).MrKappus wrote:If they're both free you should attend neither.Jah'rakal wrote:I recently found out La Verne has lost accreditation, what happens to those who are currently attending then? is it worth attending at all? The accredited one, I guess, but this is akin to picking between death by drowning and death by decapitation. I'm not trying to be snarky, but job prospects from such schools happen to be that abysmal.Jah'rakal wrote:pick one as in one of the two schools

Re: University of La Verne vs Whittier
I know a few students that go to La Verne. Let me tell you right now: Don't go unless you have to pay nothing. I mean, if it's free, there's no harm right? If you don't end up using your JD, then whatever.
But if you have to PAY for it, even if its just a bit, forget about it. Stay away.
Job prospects are grim if you are not in the top 1-2%. I know 3 La Verne students. 2 just passed the bar exam and are unemployed. The other one was fortunate to get a DA gig.

Nope. There's opportunity cost. Not to mention that having a JD will cut you off from a lot of entry-level positions. (Yet another reason to get WE between UG and LS.)notaznguy wrote:if it's free, there's no harm right?
