The Most Loyal Law School Alumni Networks
Which Law Schools have the most loyal alumni networks/bases?
From what i've heard:
Very Loyal:
Harvard,
Stanford,
USC,
Cornell,
Michigan,
Notre Dame,
BYU,
Boston College,
Can anyone verify this? What other schools could be added to the list? thanks.

T1 privates and most state schools have very loyal alumni. Some in the south I've heard are more loyal than most. I keep hearing Alabama, UGA, and UTK.

I hear BYU has amazing an amazing network since it's a church institution and many other mormon non-BYU law graduates (many from more prestigious legal backgrounds) are loyal to the Church so they assist in internship/job placements. Maybe this helps some.

I heard UVa as well - something about alumni donations accounting for an unusually large portion of budgetCavalier wrote:UVA

Most networks of state schools (especially states that have one law school in them) are ridiculously tight, I'd assume.

I agree, from what ive heard, within the state of Georgia;assuming similiar class ranks, Georgia>Emory because of the loyal alumni partners. Similiar situation in Tennessee, as UTenn alums are loyal to UT grads over Vanderbilt.
Something that is not mentioned often is if you miss out on BIG Law, does going to a higher ranked school put you at a disadvantage vs a local state school when looking for a lower tier legal job? i.e. small law, commercial lit, midlaw?

This is true. They had numerous alums reaching out to me when I was deciding where to go. Very loyal to the law school.Cavalier wrote:UVA

BYU and uChicago. BYU has the strongest international legal alumni network to access (or should I say mormons have, a lot of them are T14, not BYU grads) besides maybe Columbia, because so many speak crazy foreign languages.
Uchicago is strong, probably because Chicago's education is so unique, class size is small, and it attracts a lot of similarly intellectually curious/ lawecon koolaide drinkers. I am amazed at how excited a lot of alums are to help me out always.

WFU. When I was deciding, two WFU alumni called me to field questions and tell me about how great WFU was for their careers. Could be just a mktg strategy though

southern schools are really loyal, as college sports in the south are even more popular than nascar. notre dame i would imagine would be a big deal since a considerable portion of people are catholic.

Maybe a nubeish question, but don't all law school alumni somewhat favor grads of their own school?
Why should one school's alumni be better at it than another's? And how would you even go about quantifying such a thing?
