Kent Sticker VS JMLS(16k a year) VS Depaul(sticker)
*Edited post*
I'm unsure if i want to pay sticker price at kent. I was offered 16k off JMLS. Still waiting on numbers for depaul.
I applied really late into the cycle (took the june 2011 LSAT). I should not of waited this late to apply. I basically have one week to make my decision. I dont know if i want to put off going to school for another year.

Re: Attending a school with below average numbers
Things that should be on your list of worries:
1. Sticker at Kent.
Things that should not be on your list of worries:
1. How you stack up to your classmates.

Wait a second... don't you have a 3.9 which is above median everywhere and aren't you applying next cycle?

Please do not go to Kent unless you get a full ride. If UIUC and NDLS are placing ~20% right now and their main markets are Chicago, imagine what Kent, Loyola, etc... are doing.

Re: Attending a school with below average numbers
I've read that Chicago was a bloodbath for T14 students with decent grades, so I'd be really scared at going to a school like Kent right now, and please God don't go to John Marshall. I'd reconsider going this year if I was you, perhaps retake the LSAT and reapply next year. You will thank yourself in three years.

With a 3.5 and a 163+ you can at least get some schollys at good T2s and maybe ED to some good T1s.... or pay sticker there at least.
I too have heard horrible employment stories re: Chicago.

It's getting better, but last year and two years ago were awful to say the least. Still, a Chicago T2 is pretty hopeless outside the top 10%.firemed wrote:+1bk187 wrote:Retake/reapply. These schools are bad.
