Full tuition at McGeorge or Sticker at UC Davis? Forum

I live in Sacramento and want to stay in California, I have been offered a full tuition scholarship at McGeorge and I just recently got accepted off the waiting list at UC Davis. The price difference is a little overwhelming, especially since I have a wife and two small kids. I know that Davis is ranked significantly higher, so is it really worth it?

i think you'll have much better job opportunities from davis, but it's also not exactly berkeley so i'm not sure if it's worth it. can you apply for financial aid at davis?

Both of these are fairly risky. On one hand less than half of McGeorge grads end up with full time jobs as lawyers (source: http://www.lawschooltransparency.com). On the other Davis is going to cost you 6 figures worth of debt.

If you have some savings and don't mind burning it, I'd probably choose Davis based on having a better chance of becoming a full time lawyer. But you really are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
