1. Go to the best school you can get a free ride at.
2. After graduating open a law school.
3. Make yourself a law professor.

This will only take a bit over 3 years of eduaction. Plus you'll make bank from tuition $.

I know that Yale is the best for it but looking at lists of professors at some T40 schools there are a lot from the T14 but you can do some types of teaching like legal writing or something smaller than the core courses if you are set on teaching. No matter what though you need to be top of your class so do work.

How do you know you want to be a law professor without having ever taken a law school class?

Just curious...you can get a decent idea of whether you want to be a lawyer by working in a law office, talking with lawyers about their jobs, etc; I suppose you could get the same idea by talking with law professors or sitting in on classes.

The easy way: T10 (preferably T6) school, near/at the top of your class, law review, impressive clerkship, solid interview skills.

Just be prepared for a monotonous, tedious life of writing obscure law review articles on topics no one cares about that no one will ever read. The money is good though.

1) Open a TTT;

2) Pay the ABA dues/fees/bribes to secure accreditation;

3) Speak highly of the virtuosity, versatility, and career prospects (e.g., 160K salary) of the JD/LLM;

4) Recruit native, gullible minds and use them to milk the Fed Gov through student loans.

5) (OPTIONAL) Write academic papers about the state of the legal profession and/or blame globalization and technology for the plight affecting the legal profession.
