Do I take the easy route? Or man up?
At this point I am 2000 deep in seat deposits. Still cannot decide my next move.
I want biglaw or the best shot I can at getting.
I currently have the options of attending Wake Forest w. No debt or w&m with 32k in debt.
I like DC but I have no idea how W&M does there.
Do I take the free ride or debt?

Re: Damnit.
from what i know:
W&M gives you greater chance to make biglaw relative to wake forest.
next, 32K debt isn't great but it isn't the worst (people taking out 100K+ for law school)

Re: Damnit.
I have only a bit under 32k UG debt, and I am perfectly fine making $12/hour despite picking the fastest repayment track they had.

If you want BigLaw, the answer is neither.
If you want the best chance at BigLaw, the answer is W&M.

Re: Damnit.
Not sure what there is to explain.
Neither school places enough students into the Vault 100 nor the NLJ250 (depending on your definition of BigLaw) to make law school worthwhile if BigLaw is the only aspect of the law that interests you. Look at the limited information we have on Vault placement concerning these schools. Look at the NLJ250 placement over the years. It will paint you the picture.
However, it appears that W&M may place marginally better into the NLJ250 than Wake; thus, I told you W&M was better and voted for that option in the poll above.

If biglaw is the only aspect of the law someone is interested in, YHS are really the only options.lawyerwannabe wrote:Not sure what there is to explain.

But I really don't think that person exists.

Which school do you WANT to go to? Go to whichever you like more, both options are great!
I imagine W&M does better in DC than WF, but maybe somewhere here has stats on their relative placement in all (not just Biglaw) DC firms.

This is your 4th thread asking essentially the same questions.
I've voted for something different in each thread just to fuck with you.

NO debt., You dont know how well you will do once you get there. Take the money and use the money left over from the cost of attendance to help pay for bar review.

Dude, why do you keep asking this? You've gotten every opinion people on TLS have to give already, and even though it seems you don't like hearing that you're probably never going to get a D.C. BigLaw job out of either school, you continue obsessing over the decision with D.C. BigLaw placement as your criterion.parttime7 wrote:At this point I am 2000 deep in seat deposits. You do need to man up, but you need to man up by just choosing a school.

This is like saying I want the NFL and then signing a contract to join the Arena League. Can you make it to the NFL from the Arena League? Yes, it has happened. Does it happen much? No.
You are really taking off into a different direction while stating you want the other direction.
