WUSTL (60k) vs pepperdine (sticker) Forum

So I think most of you are going to say this is a no brainer, but I just wanted to make sure. I want to go into sports/entertainment law, which I know is a long shot, so LA is great for summer internships. WUSTL is t18, though and pepperdine is only t50. Also, it's Cali vs STL. Thoughts?

hmm you have a 168+3.4 + urm and the best you managed was WUSTL?
I think if you reapply next year, you can get into a better school, USC,UCLA,Texas or maybe cornell.

There is a huge difference between pepperdine and wustl and another huge difference between wustl and cornell/ucla

pepperdine 5-10% biglaw
wustl-20% biglaw
cornell/ucla 35%-40% biglaw.

DO NOT GO TO PEPPERDINE AT STICKER. Let's make this simple because people are overly optimistic about their personal chances. You will not be working in sports law when you graduate from law school. Go to WUSTL. It doesn't matter which region you want to work in. Having over 200k in debt in CA is worse than getting a job in St. Louis or Chicago. Think about the down-side too.

Why would you even consider paying more money for a school with significantly worse employment prospects? That's crazy. Go to WUSTL. You proably won't end up in Cali, but you probably won't end up drowning in debt, either.

If you absolutely must have Cali, retake and get into a better Cali school that will give you a reasonable chance at a good job upon graduation.
