Duke 54K vs. Penn Sticker
If my goals are NYC / LA biglaw, which is the better choice? I know Penn does better than Duke in NYC, but is the difference large enough to pay 54K more? Are these two considered peer schools?

Just any biglaw job, or are you gunning for a top firm?
Most would say Duke, but if you want a top NYC firm then Penn might give you a substantial leg up.

For NYC, I think its worth the difference. LA doesn't seem to make many distinctions between the Non HYS T-14. But, LA is really hard to crack anyway so NYC is more likely.

I think Duke is worth it with the 54k, have you tried negotiating with Penn? Penn has somewhat better Biglaw placement, but I think that advantage is negated by the full cost of sticker.bdubs wrote:Just any biglaw job, or are you gunning for a top firm?
