Okay so I have been accepted to all of my back up t3 schools and still waiting on schools closer to home. I don't know if I should go to a t3 school and transfer to a better school after 1L or just take the year off to reapply or possibly retake the lsat. I have already killed so much time doing both my second degree in cmns and my post-bacc in legal studies but I also don't want to get stuck at a school that I don't like.
I applied pretty late in the cycle so I don't really know what my chances are of getting into a t2 school. The t3 schools have offered pretty good scholarships that make them appealing but locations kind of suck. Also, I noticed that some of the schools I've been accepted to have a terrible attrition rate, brutal grading curve and only a median gpa of 2.6 for first year. So I don't know if I should stick it out with a t3 school, work my ass off then get into a better school, or take the year off

I'd recommend reapplying. Doesn't sound like you're happy with your choices. What was your LSAT score and GPA (approximate)? That might help make better estimates.

I'm not so much unhappy with my choices as I am overwhelmed. I'm from Canada and we have like 15 legit law schools and the competition is just ridiculous for the 100 seats at each school. I'm not really familiar with the tiered system in the states and how it affects transferring. I've accepted that I am going to have to move anyways so I don't really care where to as long as I know I can transfer out if I dont like it. Another sucky thing is that I havent been able to visit all the campuses so I'm only going by proximity to relatives - so I have some family close by.
My gpa for my first degree was pretty low - I didnt really care and I was sick most of the time so I was always in and out of the hospital.
I bumped my gpa up for second degree and post-bacc 3.2 and 3.4 respectively (still not that great)
I scored 157 on the Dec Lsat - I was going to rewrite it this February but I felt like I didnt have enough time to prepare since I had to stay ahead in classes since I had surgery in March. (I've had 6 classes each semester for the last three semesters straight so I could finish by April.)
Unfortunately American schools (and most Canadian) only look at your first degree - so basically screwed unless I bump up Lsat.

Haha I dnoo, I guess I just wanted to see if it was really worth going through the hell of law school. It was basically like prepping for 1L but you get a diploma for it. Also, I was bored and didn't want to work. lol.
