SMU ($$) vs U of Houston
Does the difference in ranking matter?
With the money from SMU it will cost about the same. I think I want to end up in Houston after I finish school. Any thoughts?

SMU for the Dallas area; Houston for the Houston area. The difference in rank between the two is not relevant in your situation.

If your heart is in Houston, Houston.
Be aware that the average grad from SMU makes more than the average grad at U of Houston.
Employ a balancing test between location and job prospects.

i'm trying to make the same decision. aberzombie makes a good point.
do the relatively substantial increases in tuition scare you at all? i guess i'd just be disappointed if UH ends up being more expensive than SMU.
