you didnt apply to Minnesota? I would choose going there for cheap if you want to stay there.

Sounds like you'd fit in better at UVa and I think it's worth the extra 15k

UVa seems like a good fit. It is tough because Chicago is a better location to get to Minn from, but everything else points to UVa. Either way, both are great choices: congratulations!

check out the nalp directory, I think that there would be a lot more minn and chicago firms at NW's OCI. a lot, lot more I'd guess. Something to look into.

I voted UVA, mainly because it'll be easier on you if your SO can come to DC.

They basically cost the same. But NU might be better with Minnesota firms.
