Can you apply to other schools after deferring enrollment? Forum

Ethical issues aside, is this possible? As in I got in Fordham in January, asked to defer my enrollment till next year, then applied to a bunch of other schools next year, got in NYU, and enrolled there instead. OR, applied to a bunch of other schools next year, didn't get in anywhere better than Fordham, so took the original offer at Fordham.

Call Fordham and ask them. Some schools have binding deferment as in you cannot apply anywhere else.
