Help me pick a school! I'm leaning toward BC because it's most affordable with chance for biglaw.

We need more personal information, but choose between BC and Vanderbilt. With no preferences, I would go with BC.

I am interested in corporate law, and I want to do the big firm work for a while. I am also interested in becoming a judge or some other political position. I know UChicago has a good name, but that debt would be strapping.

I went through a similar situation. I had the option of Chicago at sticker, or a number of T20-T30 schools with big scholarships. I had no particular aspirations about clerkships or academia, nor was I even set on biglaw, so 200K in debt sounded insane to me. So I decided finding a balance between the quality of the school, and the size of the scholarship. If you want the east coast, don't want to go into debt, etc., then BC sounds like a smart choice.

I just think that this economy isn't built for taking risks like 200k on a top school. I have thought about academia, and I believe if I want it, I can get any job from BC.

Chicago.

BC>The other options

Other than Chicago all those schools are local, even Vandy, and they are all in places I'd never want to live.
