BC or Colorado?! HELP!

Post by krizzy922 » Fri Apr 01, 2011 10:09 am

I am in Europe right now and I can't visit any schools and I have to make a decision... I have pretty much narrowed it down to either BC or Colorado: Colorado has given me about 25,000 a year and I have not heard from BC regarding scholarships yet... I like cities, but I also like the mountains and I want to go to a good school... but I also don't want to be in extreme debt... Is BC worth going into that much debt?! I am interested in International Law/ Environmental Law... and getting a job after I graduate haha.

Would you be doing the certificate at BC as well? You could serve on their environmental law review program.

I personally love Colorado and the mountains, but BC is a good T25-30 school.
It should come down to location vs. program. Colorado obviously has the rockies. New England has its mountains (stowe is beautiful, etc.) but they don't really compare.

Boston wins the law school factor, while Colorado wins the mountains factor. Up to you which is more important.

Colorado & Boston College offer significantly different environments & tend to place graduates in their respective geographical regions. If I may ask, what are your other law school options ? Thanks !

Everyone on TLS has bias. I'm just, at the moment, being more upfront about mine.

In all seriousness though, it would be difficult for me to pick Boston over Colorado. They are both sososo great, but for such different reasons. In the end, the attorney in me won out over the outdoorsman. But every man (and woman) must make their own decision and find their own way.

I know the schools are both great for different reasons!! That's why I kept going back and forth! but I decided to go with BC... and now I get to start trying to find a place to live, while overseas... HORRAY.

Smart choice with BC. Check NLJ250 and clerkship placements between the two schools. BC has a much stronger reputation.
