UNC vs. FSU

Post by lala7 » Thu Mar 24, 2011 9:41 pm

I know I want to stay in the Southern Alabama/Northwest Florida area but UNC is ranked #30 while FSU is #50.

I am so torn! Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do? :)

Any scholarships?

go where you are instate

If you are not instate at either, and you want to work in FL, then go to FSU.

UNC vs. FSU?

Depends if they are playing hoops or football.

Sure of Florida and in state? FSU hands down.

But if you are able to go UNC out of state, why not take a look at UGA or Bama? Bama is dirt cheap too.

Maybe you should just learn to like the Triangle and go to Carolina?

If you must live in your stated area, probably FSU.

If you will not get FSU in-state tuition (or $), then go UNC.

If you live in Florida, go for the in-state money, unless you get into a top 14 school

Kids out of undergrad don't seem to understand the concept of $100,000 dept until after they graduate law school.

This is true. You should go where there is in-state tuition, especially since you want to stay regional. Debt is scary-- I know (personally) once I sat down and looked hard at the numbers and calculations, I ended up picking my state school because tuition was so low (UNC).
