Especially seeing how hard they were trying to raise their LSAT median and such this cycle. Ah well, next year.Pricer wrote:I am disappointed to see UGA drop.

Re: Emory Drops to 30
did you all see the employment at graduation stat? UGA is at 83% but Emory is all the way down near 65%.... scary... maybe its self-selection out of the ATL/GA market but i kind of doubt it...

Expect to see 1Ls self-immolating on the library steps.

LOL. Another 8 place drop like that and it becomes a T2.
What caused the horrendous drop in the rankings? Was it the national reputation? Did NYC placement decline? Is US News now including home city crime statistics?

A 166/3.01 is golden to Emory this year while 168/2.9s are trash. good call emory, let me know how that works out for your next year.lastch2 wrote:seriously, given their shitty oci and now this year's crazy approach to acceptances i see dismal projections for the future. sorry emory...

I thought overvaluing GPA vs. LSAT was their "thing."Sandro wrote:A 166/3.01 is golden to Emory this year while 168/2.9s are trash. good call emory, let me know how that works out for your next year.lastch2 wrote:seriously, given their shitty oci and now this year's crazy approach to acceptances i see dismal projections for the future. sorry emory...

valuing a 3.01/166 over a 2.99/167 is a sure fire way to never increase your medians.flcath wrote:I thought overvaluing GPA vs.

Re: Emory Drops to 30
Did it drop in the rankings due to employment problems? Given how schools can manipulate their employment stats, it does seem Emory actually suffered and that they couldn't cover it up...

Re: Emory Drops to 30
Their (extraordinarily slow) admissions communication--including the fact that no one was available to talk to me the first 4 times I called--prevented me from ever being able to consider Emory when I was going through.Skyhook wrote:What's that you say?!rad law wrote:...fatduck wrote:NO ONE GO TO EMORYfatduck wrote:NO ONE GO TO EMORY![]()

By the time I got their (very generous and competitive) scholarship, I already had to commit elsewhere.
