I do not know where I want to practice - but I am interested in federal government work/immigration.

Figure this out and then choose the corresponding school.louise13 wrote:I do not know where I want to practice.

None of those places - I live in the NW currently but I am looking to move closer to family on the east coast. I know it would be ideal for me to know where, but I do not know, and will not be able to realistically make such a decision before choosing a law school.

You mean you don't have time to decide what area you want to be in prior to signing yourself up for 6 figures worth of debt with little possibility of leaving that area?louise13 wrote:None of those places - I live in the NW currently but I am looking to move closer to family on the east coast. I would go ahead and cut the options down to UF, Ohio State, and Temple.
Even if you don't know where you want to practice, go to the cheapest of these three because they are all better options than the rest of the options on the list.

If Temple or OSU gave me 5 million a year to go there, I would definitely feel good choosing either option.

It's not an issue of time to decide where - I really just don't know where. And to clarify - I don't plan on getting 6 figures worth of debt. Getting in state at Ohio, Temple, or UF after the first year would keep my debt under a 100K. And with the 25K from Denver, my debt would also be more managable. I left Villanova and UC Hastings on my list but would only consider Villanova with significant money. Hastings is debatable, since I do not believe I will get sigificant aid.bk187 wrote:You mean you don't have time to decide what area you want to be in prior to signing yourself up for 6 figures worth of debt with little possibility of leaving that area?louise13 wrote:None of those places - I live in the NW currently but I am looking to move closer to family on the east coast. t14 or bust. 5 million isn't enough for the limited career opportunities.Stringer Bell wrote:If Temple or OSU gave me 5 million a year to go there, I would definitely feel good choosing either option.
