Offered $60,000 over 3 years at both UIUC and UMN.
I'm honestly not sure which I should choose. I have lived in the southwest region my entire life (need to move on), but I have no idea which area I would prefer to live/practice. Also, I am not sure what type of law either, perhaps constitutional or ip (being a 0L, it is hard to know for sure). The only thing that is a "plus" is that my brother will be in Rochester, MN @ the Mayo Clinic, which is only an hour and a half away from UMN.
I'm thinking of contacting both schools with a negotiating scholarship letter. But for now, since the scholarships are equal, could anyone provide reasons as to why one school would be better over the other?
Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, guys.

Truly a tie. Do you prefer to live in an urban or rural location ? I guess you could wait until March 15th & let the USNews rankings decide for you.

I've only lived in an urban area, so it is hard to say that I prefer it over rural areas. The only hesitation I have with basing my decision off USNews Rankings is that the rankings could easily change by the time I graduate law school.

I was kidding about basing your decision off of the upcoming USNews rankings. You need to visit both law schools before deciding, in my opinion.
