Which Scholarship Option Should I Choose?
Don't have much of a preference other than preferring hot weather. No family or connections anywhere. Just want to be able to support a good family some day. Big law would be nice, but not necessary.

your preference for temperate climates is unfortunate.
emory?
you must have higher ranked options, right?

William and Mary and Emory sound like the best bet since IUB and ND are both cold-ass cold places.

let's ignore the hot/cold thing and just call it objectively. what would create the best financial situation?Hannibal wrote:William and Mary and Emory sound like the best bet since IUB and ND are both cold-ass cold places.
i prefer hot weather but im made much happier when i have good steak or a hot woman in my bed so that's arbitrary. i could just vacation in florida.

Ah, well if all things stay the same I'd say IUB. But you might get into WUSTL with some money, and if you do I recommend there if the money is roughly on par with ND.

Is ND better than Emory dollar for dollar?

If you want to work in biglaw and don't care where, yes. If you want to work in the midwest, yes. If you want to work in a temperate climate, no.surveyquestion wrote:Is ND better than Emory dollar for dollar?

I can't answer, since it would be unwise to assume your family will be above median.surveyquestion wrote:Don't have much of a preference other than preferring hot weather. Really sorry, I couldn't resist.

One of the best splits ive seen so far. Impressive, i admire you. go to William and mary, so you can raise the median LSAT and boost the future ranking of my school.

That is very smart, but you are assuming you can only answer wise questions. W&M is probably the odd ball out in my thought process. Is ND better outside of the Midwest than Emory is outside of the South. I didn't not try in undergrad - I was just graded subjectively by uneducated people.

Re: Which Scholarship Option Should I Choose?
just letting you know at IUB the chance of biglaw is slim to none. ND not onlly has the best biglaw placement, it is the best school easily in Indiana, and I personally think it has the best mobility, for if you find a fightin' irish fan they will like where you came from.
how much does ND cost? choose whatever is cheaper b/w emory and ND, unless it is relatively close, then go with the warm weather.

I think it's like a K a year or maybe 2K. It's not game changing different.
