This will assuredly put them in the top 50 schools for NLJ250 stats. Biglaw employers will finally wise up.

it's all you dood. USNWR is a big fan.
Given that between my 0L year and now the school has gone from 44 to 23, I think it's safe to say we're seeing a "SBL Effect." To everyone who might benefit from UC Davis's new ranking in the future, I'd just like to humbly say "You're welcome."
But won't they drop off once you graduate?

They'll already have done OCI, so it doesn't matter.

Hastings is more highly regarded than USC and UCD, but our employment rates are lagging 10%+ behind..hmmm

definitely. then their graduates would be able to find employment. as of now they get no respect in Boston. Big firms just don't want to hire from a non-t25.

This will assuredly put them in the top 50 schools for NLJ250 stats. Biglaw employers will finally wise up.
TBF using NLJ250 data is essentially a way to pump up Fordham and GW at the expense of solid schools in smaller markets. The "good" firms in places like Indianapolis aren't likely to be NLJ250, but they're still decent options.

I just want to get in. After my Maryland "prefered" waitlist today I can all but cross off the possibility.

Yeah, but Indiana shouldn't be getting slaughtered by Iowa or even Wisconsin in those rankings. There's definitely a bias there, but not enough to explain why Indiana grossly underperforms its peer schools in this metric.

WUSTL has more a larger student body than all 4 of the other schools, and there are a finite number of fed and Art III clerkships to go around. You do the math.

this is the part where i seriously consider transferring back home to state school. am i really paying $40k/yr for 65% employment rate? and i love how all year the deans have been talking about how great things are looking, how emory is a mover & a shaker, blah blah blah. but i mean come on... 65%...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
